First and foremost TARANTULA8.COM is a site for the tarantula and other invertebrate community.  It is my hope that it can fill a niche in offering features previously unavailable, but more importantly be a welcoming place for the community at large.  Although at the moment the site is a bit of an empty shell, I hope that will quickly change.  There are still features in the works, the Gallery and site-wide search functionality, for example.  Other features are available and usable but I still need to sand down the edges and make them even more user friendly and functional.  Owing to the newness of the site, I must admit the Wiki is close to if not blank in its content, and only a few species exist in the Species Sheets.  I am very excited to be shortly inviting some dealers to begin listing in the Dealer Listings section.  I hope this section will make it easier to find the species your looking for as well as give the dealers another outlet the advertise their inventory. 

If you would like to get involved create an account and if you fancy, you can start adding content.  Wiki articles and images for the Gallery (although until I get the automatic upload functionality working you’de have to email the to me) would be especially appreciated and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to post them in the forum.  For those who would like to get their hands even dirtier can apply for volunteer positions as everything is available at the moment.
